The wearing of face masks will be compulsory in all communal areas of buildings throughout the Valencian Community. This has been confirmed to Mediterráneo by the Regional Ministry of Health following our consultation
The lack of specific regulations on the compulsory wearing of face masks in communal areas and the questions of many property owners in this regard have led us to consult the Regional Ministry of Health, who told us:
“Places of communal use are understood to be included within spaces of public use or those which are open to the public, for which the wearing of face masks is compulsory”.
In the Valencian Community, the compulsory wearing of face masks is currently governed by the resolution of 29 December 2021. This resolution refers to spaces of public use or those which are open to the public, but it does not refer to communal areas of Communities of Property Owners. Their response has answered the questions of many property owners. Namely, that it is compulsory to wear face masks in all communal areas.
